Q: What has been the best experience so far on warped tour?
J: Definitely not phoenix, it’s really really hot today, We had a really good time in venture, it was really nice weather. That was two days ago. So I would have to say just being able to be in nice weather and not burn like I always say so because I’m super Irish and white. We have a lot of friends out so every day has been really really cool just being able to see everyone we haven’t seen in a little while pretty much everything is cool. As longs as it’s good weather, I’m cool with it.
Q: Were you in a bus last year or were you in a van?
J: We did 10 days in a van last year and it was pretty brutal. No sleep, just trying to show up and set up as ear;y as we could. Having the bus this year has made a huge difference. We are kind of realizing how important it is to be out of the sun all day. Last year it was constant all the time, we couldn’t get out of the sun. We are really, really love the comfort this time.
Q: What’s your favorite part about having the tour bus?
J: It’s like a safe haven you can go out and get all your work done and not feel pressure because you can’t really hide any where and relax. It’s really nice to have the bus to go back and do that on not having to drive ourselves is so awesome because that is where we lost all of our energy last time. Just not being able to sleep all of the time is great.
Q: You guys have gotten really big over the last year. How do you cope all the of the fans and the people? sort of everything in general?
J: It has been overwhelming , it’s one of those things you don’t really expect to happen. you hope for hope it, but our case we made some good decisions and the fans have been awesome since day one. We have been able to make a pretty solid connection with our core fan base. Having those those kids tell their friends and their friends. It kind of great organically and for us there is nothing better than going out and seeing a bigger crowd every night night where you go out to play come back through a city and it’s bigger than last time. It’s unreal, it still doesn’t really hit you un till you can out on stage every day and you realize how much work you’ve put in and you can really see it back. it’s probably the best feeling you can have.
Q:What food is a tour essential?
J: I’m into bagels in the morning. I never wake up early enough for catering so bagels and cream cheese, that’s my jam and lean cuisine is like savior too with a microwave. If you’re lucky enough to have a microwave on warped tour. you need to have lean cuisine.
Q: What do you do to stay entertained on the road? How do you stay sane?
J: It’s one of those things where started off trying to find little things to keep us busy. When we had the van we would play frisbee and stuff. Now on Warped Tour, its a lof different than normal because we have a lot of things to do during the day and there is not a lot of down time. We haven’t really gotten around to setting things up that are fun to do we set up a tent outside the bus where set around and hang out all day but other than that we brought an x-box we are going to hook that up/ we haven’t even had a chance to hook that up we have been so busy. Hook that up maybe play some tiger woods or zombie killing games. we are all video-gamers that;s pretty geeky.
Q:Any guilty pleasures of weird talents?
J: My guilt pleasure, I listen to Katy Perry all the time. I love Katy Perry. I don’t have any weird talents. Pat, our drummer, actually has an alter ego that he calls rat boy and turns into this little monster and goes on rampages. That’s his little secret thing. If he’s in the mood for it, it doesn’t happen a whole lot, you might be able to catch him in a good mood and he’s do it. It is ridiculous. We’ll be in public and he’ll jump up on a table and just go crazy. Throw everyone’s food, he a mess I don’t know if that’s a talent but it’s definitely something i couldn’t do.
